The T224 and T228 current calibrators belong to the new range of Tinycal calibrators developed by Gometrics. The new range has been modernized in both design and performance. The devices have been improved in terms of resolution and accuracy compared to the previous model. Some details have been improved, such as a now backlit display, better stability over time, and the possibility of adding accessories, such as multi-input connectors or probes.
The measurement function can be easily selected with the IN/OUT key, as shown on the display, which indicates the value to be measured. To avoid possible connection or manipulation errors, the measuring circuit is protected against short circuits and external voltages up to 30 V, ensuring a longer instrument lifetime. The T224 and T228 models are equipped with an integrated 24 V DC power supply that allows the loop to be powered from the calibrator (active mode), or voluntarily in passive mode.
All instruments of the Tinycal series have a dual function: measurement and generation/simulation. They can therefore be used as calibrators to check the individual elements that make up the measurement loop (probe, transmitter, indicator).
They allow high precision measurements with good resolution. Their high reliability, ease of use and programming, as well as their reduced weight and size, make them very useful basic standards in an instrumentation workshop.
All Tinycals are equipped with rechargeable NiMH batteries with long autonomy and useful life. They are supplied with connection cables, battery charger, carrying cases, user’s manual, calibration certificate and 2-year warranty extendable to 5 years. The instruments are lightweight and are manufactured from recycled materials, e.g. the casings.
